Individual Consultations
Individual consultations result in a custom blend of essential
oils designed specifically for you or your animal, whether the
need is cosmetic or health-related. As our specialty, this is
by far the most precise and effective method to determine which
oils you or your animal requires in order to create a mixture
tailored to those particular needs. Consultations incorporate
the methods of Applied Kinesiology (to find the imbalances of
the energy flow to specific organs of the body), and Traditional
Chinese Medicine (to determine what these imbalances might signify).
The beauty of this hands-on process is that it eliminates any
guesswork, which might result in unnecessary expenses, and instead
provides a fine-tuned, customized treatment.
The cost of a Consultation is $60 plus the cost of the oils.

Custom Blends
If a consultation is not practical for you, we will create a
custom blend of essential oils, based on the general needs or
conditions you describe via the phone or e-mail communication.
Custom blends may address both cosmetic and health-related issues.
The cost of a Custom Blend is $25 plus the cost of the oils. |

What is Aromatherapy, Essentially?
Aromatherapy is the art and science of using pure essential oils
extracted from plants for healing and balancing the mind and body.Essential
oils are the result of distillation or expression of plants and
plant parts (e.g., flower, leaf, tree, bark, root, twig, seed,
berry, resin and rind). All essential oils, to varying degrees,
have chemical compositions with powerful healing qualities.
Aromatherapy is a complementary therapy, not a replacement for
medical are. FrogWorks employs a collaborative approach, working
together with your medical practitioner. We prefer to work with
the diagnosis and treatment plan that your doctor or veterinarian
has prescribed. |

About Frances
Frances Fitzgerald Cleveland has worked with horses for more
than 25 years in a range of disciplines. Her aspirations started
with horses and grew to include people and other animals. In 1996,Frances
founded her company, FrogWorks. She has always aimed to heighten
the well-being of people and animals naturally, through individualized
use of essential oils.
Frances has extensive experience in the realms of health and behavior
as it relates to both animals and humans. She obtained certification
from the Institute of Dynamic Aromatherapy and the International
School of Animal Aromatics. Frances studied in England with Caroline
Ingraham, the pioneer of Animal Aromatics. Frances is an apprentice
of Rosemary Gladstar, world renowned author, herbalist and teacher,
and has completed the intensive Apprenticeship Program and the
Science and Art of Herbalism Program in the didactic, therapeutic,
laboratory and fieldwork in herbalism.
Frances recently trained zookeepers in the use of essential oils
on animals. Her groundbreaking Animal Aromatherapy work at The
Denver Zoo with the Orangutans, Gorillas and Black Crested Macaques
was covered in the Denver Post and L.A.Times. Frances' work has
also been written about by the Rocky Mountain News, Associated
Press, The German Press and a featured guest on Animal Radio.
This work showed excellent results, which confirm the effectiveness
of essential oils. These magnificent animals clearly demonstrated
which oils they wanted, when they wanted them and how they wanted
them applied. They have truly been teachers about how these oils
can help them.
Her specific expertise, her love of animals and people, and her
commitment to natural healing make Frances a respected and highly
effective Aromatherapist. Frances and her husband, John, live
in Colorado and operate a horse facility, Outback Farm, where
Frances teaches and practices Aromatherapy, trains horses, gives
riding lessons and manufactures her internationally sold products.

About the "FrogWorks" name
What's in a name? In China, the Frog is a symbol of good luck.
In Japan, it is believed that carrying an image of a Frog in your
coin purse, brings the good fortune of having your money returned.
The Japanese word for "Frog", "Kaeru," also means "return." The
Frog represents participation in the abundant flow of life.
The Frog is a symbol of transformation, love and alchemy. The
"Frog Prince" beautifully demonstrates these characteristics when
a frog convinces a young maiden to kiss him so that his (inner
beauty) true identity as a Prince is revealed. Native American
culture considers the Frog the cleanser of emotions and is connected
to water energy, the energy of emotions. Native Americans believed
that the Frog teaches us to honor our tears for cleansing the
soul. When ponds are dry, it is the Frog who sings to the heavens
to cleanse and replenish the earth. "Frog speaks of new life and
harmony through its rain song. Sing Frog Sing! Call the rains,
quench the dryness, cleanse the Earth. Then fill me up again."
Jamie Sams & David Carson - Medicine Cards
A sense of new life and harmony is facilitated by Aromatherapy.
Whether in form, appearance or character Aromatherapy enhances
one's transformation in healing the body, mind and spirit. The
name FrogWorks refers to this powerful/empowering transformation. |

Jake's Story
Six-year old dog
Problem: Suffering from a reversed sneezing problem.
Jake's owner came to me regarding Jake's reversed sneezing problem.
She was not clear about the causes but speculated that it could be due
to dryness, allergies or food. She wanted help because his sneezing
was waking her up in the middle of the night.
After the consultation the following oils were suggested:
- Eucalyptus
- Frankincense
- Peppermint
- Basil
- Grapefruit
- Roman Chamomile
This is a very well rounded selection of oils and it focuses on respiratory
and calming.
The owner telephoned me a week later to say that Jake's reversed sneezing
had greatly diminished. She reported that the attacks were less frequent
and lasted 3 minutes instead of 15 minutes. She said that when the attacks
did start she immediately gave Jake the oils to smell and the sneezing
stopped instantly. Another benefit is that she has been able to sleep
through the night.

Skip's Story:
Quarter Horse Gelding
Problem: Owner was concerned about poor appetite and thinness. She
also felt Skip became stressed very easily and nervous for no apparent
reason.
The owner contacted me regarding Skip's weight and emotional
state of mind. During the consultation she reported that Skip was out
on good pasture all day and additionally was eating 3 to 4 flakes of
hay, 4 pounds of grain and a cup of corn oil per day
After consulting with the owner and reviewing Skip's condition,
four essential oils were recommended.
Carrot Seed
Peppermint
Violet Leaf
Neroli
I sent the oils to the owner and asked her to contact
me in two weeks. She was directed to let Skip smell the oils and if
he wanted to lick any of them he could. I also recommended that the
Neroli and Violet Leaf be rubed on his muzzle and poll areas if he seemed
interested and responsive to them. The owner contacted me precisely
at the end of two weeks. She was ecstatic because Skip had gained weight
and his behavior had become very calm. |
